    we shouldn't even have to prove extra noise! it has been necessary to put barriers on the East section past Doncaster Road,why not on the City side

    Occasionally I wake up in the middle of the night – for whatever reason. I would lie in bed and the peace and silence would quickly lull me back to sleep. But now living where we do in Kawarren Street there is incessant noise all night. I keep thinking there is tap or fan or computer other electrical device still turned on. But it is none of these things. It is the Freeway. It never stops these days. Having once lived next to a tram line in St Kilda the odd noisy tram would come and go – but largely did not interfere. Now in North Balwyn the noise invades all the time.
