We have lived in the area for over 30 years, when the freeway was built the noise level was acceptable, but ever since the extension it is unbearable! The government needs to address the problem.
The noise was always there when the freeway was built, but no worse than an average road. Now I am regularly awoken between 5-6am by engine braking trucks. It isn't limited to between bulleen and doncaster roads. I live between burke and bulleen. I have direct line of sight onto the road surface. It's the same problem and needs the same solution.
The message comes across LOUD and clear. We need a barrier and we need it NOW. Thank you for all your work with the website, YouTube clip and emails.

ReplyDeleteToo right, Ben.
ReplyDeleteSame problem, same solution required.
The residents on Carron Street and those at the northern end of Kawarren Street also have direct line of sight.
Fix it. Please.
